How do you hire a bike box?

Hiring a Bike Box shouldn't be difficult or stressful.

What if the bike box is damaged when it arrives?

In the unlikely event you feel that you have been delivered a damaged product, please email us at enquiries@yourbikeboxhire.co.uk. All our hire bike boxes are checked prior to dispatch for previous wear and any defects.


Will it cost extra to take the bike box on an airline?

Yes, most airlines charge extra for bike box carriage, please refer to our airline travel information page for the breakdown of costs with each airline.


Can I cancel a hire and get a refund?

Cancel your hire at least 7 days before it starts and you'll get a full refund - no cancellation fees!


Will my 29er fit into the Bonza Bike Box?

Yes, the Bonza Bike Box has been designed to meet the demands of as many athletes as possible, the box will accept up to a 29inch wheel, although you will need to deflate your tyres.


What are the dimensions of the bike box inc weight?

The dimensions of a Bonza Bike Box are 124cm x 94cm x 34cm with a weight of approximately 12.0 kg +/- 5%


How do I return my bike box once I've finished with it?

All hire bike boxes must be returned before or within 24 hours of the agreed hire end date along with a completed Bike Box Hire Returns Form, otherwise it will result in an additional charge as described in the "Charges" section in the Terms & Conditions.

Which payments do you accept?

We accept payment by credit or debit card. Payment is taken by secure Cardstream. All credit and debit cardholders are subject to validation and authorisation by your card issuer. If the issuer of your card declines payment, you will be notified at the point of purchase.


What happens if my bike box is damaged or lost?

Although our bike boxes are heavy-duty products and we accept general wear and tear, we ask that customers take due care when travelling & handling the boxes. As the customer you are responsible for the security and safe keeping of the bike box for the duration of the hire period. Any results in damage or loss will incur further costs varying on the product & situation.

We have an online video detailing the step by step process, as well as a downloadable PDF of how to pack your bike box. We also send out a detailed instruction sheet with every box.
